Recently, I had the privilege of interviewing Ms. Durran about her work on Anna Karenina and her collaboration with the film's director, Joe Wright. For this version of Anna Karenina, the decision was made to reinterpret the period costumes and not to faithfully reproduce them from Tolstoy's novel. Sarah Jessica Parker Power-Clashes for the Arts

Yesterday evening, the Sex and the City actress attended the 10th Annual Love ‘N’ Courage Benefit for TNC’s Emerging Playwrights Program, power-clashing in black and white. She wore a layered, polka-dot dress with a grid-print cardigan, taking the classic bicolored look beyond the mundane, in typical SJP style. For a refreshing pop of color, she threw on some bright-pink heels.
