If you watched last night’s season 4 premiere of The Voice, you may have noticed two major additions (Shakira and Usher) and one significant absence: Christina Aguilera‘s inimitable judging wardrobe.
After several seasons of Aguilera’s wacky headpieces and show-stopping hair rivaling the action onstage, new judge Shakira’s decidedly more low-key look was either a total snooze or a breath of fresh air, depending on your perspective.

Both stars favored similarly sparkly black tops for their judge’s seat ensemble (above) though Aguilera jazzed hers up with a headband, jewelry, a fan and patterned tights. Their first performances of the season, however, couldn’t have been more different (below): last year, Aguilera opted for a silver sequined bustier and knee-high boots, while Shakira chose a black mini and lace-ups last night.
We’re loving Shakira’s chic monochromatic outfits so far, but there is a part of us that will miss Aguilera’s theatrics throughout the season. Tell us: Whose Voice style do you prefer?
