It was the season premiere of "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding," and bride-to-be Amber was absolutely blown away by her wedding dress. It took her a little longer to fully take in the train of the dress, but that's because it was "close to half of a football field," according to the dressmaker.
The train took a week just by itself. But it's worth it for Amber, who explained the importance of a gypsy wedding dress. "With all gypsy girls, it’s, like, competition," she said. "Talking about your dress for, like, ever."
Amber may have won her local gypsy competition for longest train, but if she wants to win the global competition, it's going to take many weeks of work. A Romanian wedding salon created a train that set a world record at 1.85 miles long.
See more wild wedding dresses every week on "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding," Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
