Madonna has certainly never shied away from controversy — and now she’s actually looking to be a part of it!
The singer, 54, donned a Cub Scout uniform to honor Anderson Cooper at the GLAAD Awards in N.Y.C. Sunday. The Boy Scouts of America are currently under scrutiny for their longstanding ban on gay members — and, apparently, pop icon singers.
“I wanna be a Boy Scout but they won’t let me!” Madonna wrote on her Instagram account. “I know how to rub 2 pieces of wood together!” (Also on her list of scouting skills, per her speech at the awards: “I have a very good sense of direction. I can rescue kittens from trees.”)

Madonna is just the latest celeb to take the Scouts to task for the anti-gay policy, but she definitely went the extra step in donning the uniform and giving it signature Madonna touches like fingerless gloves and sheer tights — which she’d likely have to ditch if she does get accepted to the Boy Scouts one day. They’re hardly camping appropriate!
