Sources told WWD that Nicholas Kirkwood, who took home the fourth BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund prize at the end of January, "is meeting with potential backers, including LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton," but "the likelihood of a deal, and the identity of other potential suitors, could not immediately be learned." Last month, LVMH announced plans to invest in Maxime Simoëns's eponymous brand. Though the luxury goods conglomerate wouldn't comment on what percentage of the Simoëns label it purchased, it was said to be a minority stake.
