Vanessa Williams once said that "success is the sweetest revenge" -- and if her career is any indication, she must have a lot of enemies. The singer/actor/producer/model was the first African-American to be crowned Miss America, has recorded Billboard-topping hits and even received a couple of Emmy nominations along the way (and that's the short list of her accomplishments).
This jill of all trades shines in every area of her life, so it's no surprise that she dominates in the style department, too. Whether she's rocking a slinky red carpet gown or more casual duds, she always look sophisticated and put-together. And don't even get us started on her flawless, dewy skin.
In celebration of her 50th birthday (on Mar.18), we are taking a look back at some of her best style moments to date. Although she had a few rocky moments in the '80s, she has more than made up for them in the past few years. Happy birthday, Vanessa!
