They’ve prepped. They’ve polished. They’ve existed almost exclusively on juice. And now the “World Series of Intimate Apparel” (as Stephen Colbert calls the Victoria’s Secret fashion show) is here. To get people hyped for tonight’s broadcast, VS has been sending their Angels out into the world to eat chicken wings, giggle with Matt Lauer and more — and we figure it’s time to see all that excitement before seeing the same ladies half-clothed and fully feathered this evening.

Angels Behati Prinsloo, Adriana Lima and Taylor Hill stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday to chat all things Victoria’s Secret, show off their wings and chow down on a plateful chicken wings. (Yes, seriously.)
“As soon as I heard you were going to be on the show, I knew, naturally, there was only one thing America would want to see Victoria’s Secret Angels do,” Colbert says.
“Could it be modeling the Dream Angel Lace Teddy?” Prinsloo asks.
“No, nope, that sounds like a lovely idea, but no,” Colbert replies.
“What about walking the runway in the diamond-encrusted, $2 million Fantasy Bra?,” Hill asks.
“Again, again. I’m sure that’s nice. But I’m going to pass,” Colbert says. “No, I’m talking about what we really want to see Victoria’s Secret Angels do.”
“Eat a giant pile of buffalo wings!” Lima correctly exclaims.
And just like that, three giant platters of buffalo chicken wings are brought out for the three Angels to devour. And they do, despite Colbert informing them “that they’re the wings that were harvested from Angels who didn’t make the cut.” (He also dabbed his sauce-covered mug on Prinsloo’s feathery accessories, proving that they really are much more versatile than you realized.)
Earlier that same morning, Prinsloo, joined by supermodel Candice Swanepoel, made an early-a.m. appearance on the TODAY show, where the two Angels revealed where they were discovered and how drastically their lives have changed since joining the VS family.
“I mean, it’s so crazy. Most of the girls that you hear about, who I know, too, were all discovered in the most random and smallest little places ever,” Prinsloo told TV talk show host Matt Lauer. Adds Swanepoel: “A lot in shopping malls because that’s where cute girls hang out!”
Both Angels then shared where exactly they were scouted as young girls: “I was in a shopping mall, well, like a food, grocery store with my grandparents in South Africa when I got scouted,” Prinsloo says, and Swanepoel notes that she got her start in a flea market.
The supermodels both agree that getting tapped by the lingerie giant is a life-changing experience: “I’m seeing it with the new girls. The small changes in their lives is immediate, just because the show is seen in so many different countries and is respected all over the world. So your name goes everywhere.”
“And [Victoria’s Secret] really knows how to create a household name, by, you know, putting yourself out there,” Prinsloo said.

Also making the rounds? Gigi Hadid, who made her Victoria’s Secret debut this year, and who stopped by Live! with Kelly & Michael Tuesday morning to share her excitement for the show.
“I feel like I’m more excited than anyone,” the supermodel gushed. “This is the best day ever that’s it’s tonight. It’s amazing.”
She added that her excitement has been leading up to today: “We shot it a month ago, but I’ve been watching it since I was a kid, and like in high school, I had pizza parties with my friends and practiced my runway walk during commercial breaks. So tonight, I’m probably going to do that again,” Hadid says.
TV host Michael Strahan then brings up the fact that Hadid was discovered at the age of 2. “I went to school with Paul Marciano’s daughter, and he’s the CEO of Guess, so I started with Baby Guess when I was 2,” the supermodel reveals.
But even with her newfound VS fame, Hadid told the show’s co-host, Kelly Ripa, that she’s not into receiving any sort of special treatment — even while she’s in college.
“I am [taking a break from college],” she shared. “I don’t want any special treatment with that kind of stuff. You know, if you miss two classes, then you can’t get higher than a C, and so I’d be staying up on flights writing my papers, landing tired because I couldn’t be sleeping, and then shooting all day. And even if I was writing great papers, I wouldn’t get the grades that I really wanted because I couldn’t be in class because of my schedule.”
And in case you didn’t know, Hadid was studying criminal psychology at the New School.
“I loved it, but what I realized was that I didn’t need the degree, necessarily,” Hadid shared. “I just loved being in class and being in that environment and part of the conversation.”
The supermodel even goes on to explain how she uses her profiling skills to scope out perps on the subway (and yes, she admits that she does, in fact, ride the subway!). (See the clip, below!)
