Lily Aldridge told PEOPLE it was a “dream come true” to wear the Fantasy Bra at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, but she also noted the one downside to hitting the catwalk in the sparkly piece: having to give it back.

“It will be very sad,” she said of the moment she has to part ways with the bra, which is valued at $2 million and designed with diamonds, yellow sapphires, blue topaz and pink quartz and set in gold by jeweler, Mouwad.
But Aldridge, 30, is hoping that day will never come and she’ll find the bejeweled lingerie — which the model says requires constant security — under her Christmas tree come Dec. 25.
“I’m hoping that my husband [Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill] will buy it for me for Christmas,” she said with a laugh. “He won’t! #He’sNotGoingTo.”

Even with the slim chance of getting her wish, Aldridge — who joins the A-list Angel group of Fantasy Bra wearers, including Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen and Candice Swanepoel — says just wearing the mega-luxe lingerie is an honor.
“It’s something I’ve dreamed of my whole life,” she said, “and I want to make Victoria’s Secret proud.”
Aldridge also says working alongside her BFFs, like newbie Gigi Hadid, also adds to her experience this year.
“I did call Gigi as soon as I found out she was in the show,” she recently revealed in a WhoSay video. “She’s one of my best friends, and we had this amazing FaceTime moment, where we just screamed with excitement. I love her so much, and I’m so excited she’s going to be a part of the show this year.”
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs Dec. 8, 10 p.m. on CBS.
