If one fashionable royal is great, two is even better (and Princess Kate, if you’re listening and near an airport, we’d say three’s a charm!). Two of the most perpetually well-dressed royal women in the world met in Spain today, and exceeded even our high expectations for their style summit.

Queen Letizia of Spain welcomed Queen Rania of Jordan to Spain Thursday on the tarmac of Madrid’s Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport. (Oh, and their husbands were there too, wearing suits.) And true to form, both women looked impeccable, from their glossy locks to their gorgeous shoes.
Queen Rania, left, who tends to choose more unusual silhouettes and graphic patterns, topped her sky-blue shift with a red tweed trench with white plackets and blue pockets. She further coordinated her accessories with shell-pink snakeskin stilettos and a sky-blue clutch.

The stylish Spanish queen opted for a monochromatic look of a red bouclé sheath and leather accessories in the same shade. Both women selected delicate earrings and minimal jewelry. And both women (it must be said) gave us serious hair goals, opting for waves that blew majestically as wind swept through the tarmac. (Maybe one of the requirements of being queen is that your hair is tiara-ready at all times?)
