Forget about sensible L.K. Bennet heels. and striped blue-and-white t-shirts — Princess Kate‘s go-to fashion item appears to be very lacy and very black.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, wore a black Dolce & Gabbana frock ($3,175 and, shockingly, not completely sold out — yet) on Saturday while attending the Festival of Remembrance in London. The dress was a perfect choice for the somber occasion, and she accessorized it with a bejeweled red poppy pin to memorialize the fallen.

This isn’t the first time that Kate’s worn a black lace dress. In December, she wore a similar-looking outfit (this one by Beulah London) when she attended a dinner for the Royal Foundation during her trip to New York City.

Before that, in December 2013, the duchess wore a full-length Alice Temperly gown to attend a screening of David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D at the Natural History Museum in London. (The frock is a favorite of hers — she also wore it in January 2012 for the London premiere of War Horse.)
