Sometimes your bad hair day has less to do with the weather, and more to do with the residual buildup in your hair. A little bit of leftover styling product can admittedly make hair easier to work with, but past a certain point it needs a thorough clean.
And just like your face, which needs regular exfoliation to make serums and creams works better, the same goes for hair. A clarifying shampoo will help remove all the gunk, but you can add an everyday kitchen staple to your rinse that will instantly provide extra lift.
As we see in the video above, adding coarse sea salt to your regular shampoo creates a detoxifying blend that removes old gunk without stripping all the healthy oils. Since there's less weighing it down, you'll notice your hair's own natural volume. Just make sure to not do this more than once a month, or it will make your hair too clean.
