Though we tend to take a product-related approach to solving our beauty problems, it's pretty obvious that the foods we eat have a direct influence on our bodies. When we eat poorly, signs of it can show up in dry skin, brittle hair, undereye circles, breakouts, wrinkles and weak nails.
And winter doesn't help matters when it comes to fending off dry, blah everything. But when we're all running around, eating fresh, natural foods is … a little easier said than done. Fortunately, the growing number of juice and smoothie bars these days has made the option more readily available. Plus, drinking blended fruits and vegetables is one of the fastest (and most convenient) ways to incorporate your daily suggested servings.
We worked with nutritionist Kimberly Snyder (she plans meals for Drew Barrymore, Dita Von Teese and more, and is the author of the new book "The Beauty Detox Foods"), to put together a list of ingredients that could effectively help you get shinier hair, clear, glowing skin … and even cure a hangover.
