Year after year, Kate Winslet's quiet confidence makes her the one to watch on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. The 37-year-old Brit, who won Best Actress Oscar in 2009 for The Reader, first made an impression on March 24, 2002, when she wore a red Ben de Lisi gown.

When Winslet won the Academy Award on February 22, 2009, she did so wearing an Yves Saint Laurent Atelier dress and Chopard diamonds. "I'd be lying if I haven't made a version of this speech before. I think I was probably 8-years-old speaking to the bathroom mirror, and this would have been a shampoo bottle," Winslet said in her acceptance speech, gesturing to her trophy. "Well, it's not a shampoo bottle now!"
