FLOTUS gets fierce once more! Michelle Obama did not blend into the conservatively-clad crowd inside the United States House of Representatives Chamber in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday (Feb. 12), where President Barack Obama delivered his first State of the Union address since his re-election.

Still rocking her talked-about bangs, the First Lady, 48, bared her shoulders in an organza tweed flounce dress from her go-to designer Jason Wu's pre-fall 2013 collection. Featuring a slim black bodice and a flared, sparkly maroon skirt, the piece was met with raves by some and critiques by others on Twitter, who complained that the bare shoulders and sparkle were inappropriate for the event; others likened the frock to a little girl's Christmas dress.

Fashion blog The Cut points out that the piece was modified with leather trim and the sparkly details from the original, sexier take. Obama accessorized her look with a floral brooch from Alexis Bittar.
