It always happens this time of year: mentally, we're thinking about fall, but physically, we're still dressing for the summer heat. Perhaps Emily Ratajkowski's feeling that same excitement for the season ahead, since her latest look is essentially the perfect transitional outfit. On Thursday, Aug. 17, the model and podcast host stepped out in New York City wearing a dark orange bodysuit with a black micro miniskirt and brown loafers. In theory, the pairing might seem somewhat simple, but in reality, it was anything but.
Aside from opting for a fun, Halloween-ready color scheme (pumpkin spice on the brain?), Ratajkowski's skirt was low-rise enough to show off the bottom portion of her bodysuit, creating a sultry hip-cutout effect. Ratajkowski's shoes also made a statement and seemingly put TikTok's viral "Wrong Shoe Theory" trend into action.
While some might have paired that bodysuit and skirt with classic sneakers or even a strappy pair of sandals, Ratajkowski's worn-in Jamie Haller loafers gave things a preppy spin and made the look extra casual.
Ratajkowski is known for pushing boundaries with her looks - and this latest outfit is one of many head-turning ensembles she's worn lately. Earlier this week, she made a case for indoor swimwear in a white ruched bikini with high-cut bottoms and a balconette top. And earlier in August, she posed for her first-ever Victoria's Secret campaign in a black push-up bra and a cutout thong worn underneath a flowing black robe.
We're definitely feeling inspired by the model's latest easy three-piece outfit and will likely be copying it until the crisp fall weather rolls on in. Check out Ratajkowski's look in full, ahead.
