It looks like Olivia Rodrigo's new music is inspiring her latest fashion choices. On Aug. 16, the singer was photographed in London wearing a striking red ensemble with a retro, romantic feel. Off the heels of releasing the second single from her upcoming album, she wore a chic minidress from Magda Butrym featuring a cup-detailed, sweetheart bust and halterneck design. She paired the piece with matching red kitten heels and an assortment of silver rings, polishing off the look with a sleek black mani-pedi.
While promoting her sophomore album, "Guts," which comes out on Sept. 8, Rodrigo has been spotted in similar red-and-black outfits. In early July, she celebrated "vampire"'s release day in a fuzzy red sweater with black stripes, and also wore a black slip minidress decorated with sequined red hearts at a Spotify Mexico event. Most recently, she shared photos playing tourist in London, in which she's wearing a black tank, pleated red miniskirt, and black knee-high boots.
Though Rodrigo has been leaning into this particular color palette lately, she's stayed true to her signature style, consisting of nostalgic, Y2K-inspired pieces and pop-punk fashions. '90s slip dresses, mini silhouettes, and quirky appliqués have become staples in the singer's wardrobe. In fact, she recently exhibited this recognizable aesthetic on the cover of Vogue's August 2023 issue, wearing a sequined shift dress, an avant-garde "gift bow" top, a micro miniskirt made entirely of roses, and more.
