When it comes to date night, the general consensus is to grab your best LBD and highest pair of heels. For Taylor Swift, however, a moment with her rumored significant other Matty Healy called for the total opposite on May 15, when the duo were spotted leaving the Electric Lady recording studio in New York City. The 33-year-old "Anti-Hero" singer and 34-year old frontman of The 1975 attended a studio session-turned-party with other industry colleagues, including Kendrick Lamar and Adam Goldberg.
For the night out, Swift wore a low-key outfit that still managed to leave fans in a frenzy. She opted for a vintage purple and gray NYU collegiate sweatshirt and a black pleated miniskirt, finished with tan leather sneakers from the Olsen twins' NYC-based label The Row. Swift accessorized with an assortment of silver and gold jewelry and a brown crossbody minibag from Tod's, a nod to her 2014 style when she notoriously sported the Italian brand's Stella tote. Meanwhile, Healy wore a black sweatshirt and pants with dark brown Timberland boots.
Swift's latest look is a casual departure from her glamorous onstage wardrobe for her long-awaited Eras tour, for which she has successfully coordinated her show attire with her storytelling catalog. Working with Joseph Cassell Falconer, she's donned an array of head-turning ensembles from renowned designers like Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta. Her most notable dresses include an Elie Saab Haute Couture tulle ballgown that blooms into a dramatic skirt embroidered with gardenia-colored organza petals before the audience, as well as a pink bedazzled Zuhair Murad number for the "Speak Now" portion of the concert. She also switches up silhouettes throughout, swapping a silver, sparkly Versace blazer and Christian Louboutin boots for a gold fringe minidress custom-made by Falconer and Roberto Cavalli designer Fausto Puglisi.
