Kim Kardashian made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week on Monday in a head-turning, if impractical, outfit. The Skims mogul hit the streets of Italy in a totally embellished red crop top bralette and long, high-waisted skirt. The design was quite slim, with a small slit up the back for movement - and that fit complicated things when it came time to walk up the stairs. Kardashian's hairstylist, Chris Appleton, shared a video where Kardashian climbs up a set of stairs, one at a time, saying, "round two," suggesting that it wasn't the first time that she attempted stairs in her current ensemble. "Go on girl, you got this," Appleton replied.
Kardashian shared some still photos of the look on Instagram, posing with a red rose in her hand. The flower matched not only her outfit but also her manicure. Her hair hung loose around her torso, parted in the middle, and she styled the two-piece set with two cross pendant chokers.
In a video for Vogue Magazine, Kardashian explains that, after this wear, the design will go into her personal archives, along with what we can only imagine to be her white corset dress, black sequin gown, and a silver embellished dress (that gave her just as much walking grief). "I hope my kids want to wear [it] one day," she says. "I hope North and Chicago, they can wear this to prom, they can wear this to a formal dance at school, they can wear it to whatever they want. They can wear it on a night out clubbing."
Kardashian has been making bold statements when it comes to her wardrobe lately, recently posing on vacation with sister Kylie Jenner wearing matching black thongkinis. And, while her latest cross necklaces were statement-making, they're nothing like the iconic amethyst cross that the reality star just bought at auction that was previously owned by Princess Diana herself.
