Sydney Sweeney was channeling Jessica Rabbit when she stepped out in a custom, crystal-covered red gown from Miu Miu at the 73rd Berlinale International Film Festival on Feb. 18. The 25-year-old "Reality" actor described the look as a "dress of my dreams" on Instagram, where she posted multiple shots of the number in action. Sweeney works with stylist Molly Dickson, who posted an intricate sketch from Miu Miu on her Stories, describing the creation as a corseted crepe sheath embroidered with tonal hotfix crystals. The stones reflected the light of the flashing cameras on the red carpet, achieving an almost-cartoon-ish glittering effect as the star spun around to reveal all angles. The bust consisted of a half-cup that made for a straight-across neckline and allowed for a cleavage-baring moment. The skirt extended into a floor-sweeping train that was glamorous without feeling overbearing.
Sweeney's ensemble was completed with Anita Ko diamond jewelry, including three stacked tennis bracelets, stud earrings, and delicate rings. Glen Coco Oropeza gave Sweeney bronde hair extensions with a brand new bang; Melissa Hernandez added makeup with a naturally luminous silk glow; and Zola Ganzorigt provided the finishing touch with white glazed nails. At the photo call earlier in the day, Sweeney joined her "Reality" cast mates in cutaway suiting from Alexander McQueen, replete with gemstones and beaded fringe down the back.
Before she began press for her recently-announced role, she helped Miu Miu launch her Select capsule in December of last year, stepping out in leather separates from the brand. In January, she also embraced the leather trend, posing for snapshots in a Alexander McQueen minidress in the material, while out in London.
