Teyana Taylor is making a splash at New York Fashion Week. The singer and actor was one of a handful of celebrities at LaQuan Smith's fall 2023 runway show on Feb. 13. Showcasing the expert tailoring and sexy silhouettes the designer is known for, Taylor paired a teeny-tiny suede bra top and matching low-rise cargo pants topped with a red floor-length overcoat. She accessorized with a delicate body chain draped over her chest, a gold chain necklace, and massive red shades covering half her face.
Models showed Smith's latest collection at the opulent Rainbow Room in New York City, exhibiting '80s Hollywood glamour inspired by the original "Dynasty" television series. The line introduced structured suiting in patent blacks and metallic leathers, in addition to the brand's signature elements including extreme cutouts, sheer fabrics, and corset bodices. Taylor enjoyed the show from the front row alongside stars like Lil Nas X, Julia Fox, and Kimora Lee Simmons.
Earlier during NYFW, the mom of two celebrated Thom Browne's CFDA chairmanship in a full look by the designer, including a cropped cutout top and low-rise trousers in the brand's famous tartan print. Taylor and her entire family also recently wore coordinating khaki outfits by Browne for the premiere of "A Thousand and One" during the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
Over the years, Taylor has certainly developed a go-to outfit formula, which often combines a low-rise bottom and ab-baring top, as displayed by her outfit at Smith's runway show. She similarly wore an ubercropped white tee and camo joggers that skimmed her hips while posing in the middle of a desert.
