Lizzo proved more is more at the 2023 Grammys on Feb. 5. Accompanied by her boyfriend, Myke Wright, the singer strutted into the event in a dramatic cape dress hand-sewn with hundreds of silk flowers in vermillion. Her stylist, Patti Wilson, paired the custom ensemble with Swarovski statement rings and crystal-embellished mules.
Lizzo's floor-sweeping opera coat featured a hood adorned with even more delicate floral appliqués, bringing to mind a familiar chart-topping hit. "I can buy myself flowers," the singer captioned a red carpet photo of herself on Instagram, referencing Miley Cyrus's "Flowers." In another Instagram post, Lizzo wrote, "Spring awakening."
Beneath the avant-garde silhouette, Lizzo, who is nominated for five Grammy awards, wore a tangerine maxi dress with a silk corset bodice. The corset featured gleaming pinstripes and matching straps that beautifully complemented her extravagant jewelry. Bringing the look full circle, Lizzo wore sheer fingerless gloves and a vermillion flower in her hair. Accompanying Lizzo, Wright complemented the "Special" singer's outfit in a three-piece suit, a white button-up, and a black bow tie.
Her glam team - including Alexx Mayo, Shelby Swain, and Eri Ishizu - added extra splashes of color with sunset orange eyeshadow and a 3-D neon rose manicure.
Later in the evening, Lizzo performed a medley onstage while wearing a black minidress with oversized puff sleeves and a shimmering corset design. She styled the look with glittering silver boots and a cross necklace.
