Kylie Jenner is back in couture. On Jan. 23, a day after finally revealing her son's name, the beauty mogul made her grand entrance at Schiaparelli's Paris Haute Couture Week show in quite the striking ensemble: a ruched velvet gown adorned with a giant faux lion's head. While the animal motif certainly stole the show, the rest of the piece wasn't exactly simple - the figure-hugging corset dress came with a lace-up back and a mermaid train. Jenner, who happens to be a Leo, completed the look with black and gold accessories, including gold toe heels, a snakeskin purse, and earrings in the shape of eyes.
"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. thank you @danielroseberry and @schiaparelli for such a special morning. wow i loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials. beautiful beautiful," she wrote alongside photos from the show. Jenner wore the creation sitting front row, as a similar version debuted on the runway. Modeled by Irina Shayk, the catwalk version featured a long, one-shoulder silhouette and straight skirt.
The always-extravagant Schiaparelli couture collection included other designs based on lifelike creatures like a snow leopard, snake, and wolf, in addition to horned bustiers and dramatic embellishments. Fellow front row attendee Doja Cat also wore a shocking look, arriving at the show covered in head-to-toe red body paint and 30,000 Swarovski crystals.
Following a series of casual looks from Jenner, like a cutout onesie from Skims and matching Jean Paul Gaultier sets with best friend Stassie, the beauty brand founder has upped the ante for Paris Couture Week. See more photos of her show-stopping outfit ahead.
