Margot Robbie may be out celebrating "Babylon," but her dress is giving "Barbie." While attending the 2023 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10, where Robbie is nominated for best actress in a motion picture, the 32-year-old actor wore a pink Chanel dress styled by Kate Young.
The custom-made gown featured a halter neckline embellished with a silver brooch at the collarbone. The bodice consisted of a triangle-shaped pattern layered over lace, leading into a tulle skirt and creating a relaxed mermaid silhouette. Subtle sequins and feathers gave the dress an elegant touch and nod to the Old Hollywood time period in which "Babylon" takes place.
Robbie's other recent outfits sparked rumors of the end of her longstanding contract with Chanel, but it looks like she still has some affinity for the heritage brand. Unlike her backless Alaïa gown at the "Babylon" premiere or her dramatic Celine cape at the "Amsterdam" premiere, this soft Barbiecore look is very much aligned with the actor's usual aesthetic.
