Anderson Cooper took aim at "lists" on Monday night's "Ridiculist," after ranking as the 50th most trusted person and 10th best dressed newsman in America.
Cooper mocked "the arbitrary lists of the best this and the worst that," turning to Readers' Digest recently-released list of the 100 most trusted people in America. "It found that in a country chock full of doctors and scientists, musicians and philosophers, astronauts and teachers, Americans mostly trust movie stars," he deadpanned.
The CNN host is the 50th most trusted person in America, according to the poll — less trusted than fellow CNNer Sanjay Gupta, who ranked #17. It "kind of stings," Cooper joked. He pointed out that Gupta did not make Vanity Fair's list of 10 best dressed newsmen in America, which named Cooper #10. "See, these lists are just totally subjective and haphazard," he said, after reading the newsmen who ranked higher than him.
