There she is, Miss World Canada. Her name is Camille Munro, she wants to make life better for underprivileged youth.
The Regina-born human justice student was crowned Miss World Canada 2013 at the River Rock Casino Resort Thursday night, pageant CEO Ike Lalji told The Huffington Post B.C.
Munro graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina last month and now hopes to pursue a law degree.
In addition to her studies, Munro also teaches ballet, lyrical, jazz and tap dancing and is a Level 1 baton twirling judge. She also works with Dress for Success Regina, which provides professional clothing for underprivileged women entering the workforce, said a University of Regina news release.
Munro will now represent Canada at the Miss World competition in Jakarta, Indonesia in September, Xinhua reported.
Toronto's Tamara Jemuovic was first runner-up as well as People's Choice winner.
Scarborough's Anastasia Lin was second runner-up and Whitby's Katie Zeppieri was third runner-up.
