It looks like spring is in full bloom... or maybe that's just Katy Perry's headpiece.
The "Firework" singer dove head-first into spring's hottest trends -- crop tops, florals and hippie-chic -- for "The Great Gatsby" screening in New York City on Sunday, but Perry's over-sized, two-piece dress left us scratching our heads: Is she a flower child or a parachute? We can't decide.
Flashing a strip of tummy in a crop top, Perry hid the rest of her fantastic figure under heavy, billowy fabric with two competing patterns. With a lilac floral headpiece and cross-body Chanel bag, it looked though Katy was headed to a music festival rather than a glamorous night out on the town.
Later, as the weather got colder, Katy slipped on a brightly-coloured (also floral) jacket, which clashed with her already-overwrought outfit.
Fashion choices aside, the 28-year-old pop-star looked radiant as ever as she posed for photographers, proving it's hard to dull Katy Perry's shine.
