Kim Kardashian‘s love Kanye West may be a fashion darling, but that doesn’t mean he could score her an invite to the Met Gala last year.
That was then. Now that West is rumored to be the headlining performer at this year’s May 6 soirée, there’s another rumor floating around that Kardashian will be walking the red carpet by his side. Six months pregnant. Dressed to represent the evening’s theme, Punk: Chaos to Couture.
So we couldn’t help but offer up a few punk-inspired suggestions for Kardashian’s first-ever Met Gala red carpet walk (oh, please, let it be true!), all from designers who will be represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibition.

First up, a red draped Vivienne Westwood number with an accompanying scarlet cardigan would allow her to highlight her bump, show off her assets and be the center of attention.
Saint Laurent’s latest grunge-inspired collection inspired controversy, something Kardashian knows a bit about. A babydoll style with some moto boots would certainly make a statement.
She could also go for the unexpected pants look in a shredded Viktor & Rolf ensemble. The monochromatic outfit is flattering, and the distressed patches give it the illusion of sheerness while still being full coverage.
Finally, if she just wants to go for full comfort and total surprise, this Maison Martin Margiela gown is just the ticket. It’s got high-fashion appeal and plenty of room for baby (and dessert, for that matter).
Tell us: What punk look would you love to see Kardashian wear on Monday night?
