We wouldn’t ordinarily call Estee Stanley (the long-time stylist and design guru to stars including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel) a micro-manager, but in this case, we mean it as a compliment.
After all, her latest design endeavor is creating gorgeous rooms in miniature for an ultra-stylish dollhouse. It was one of ten tiny mansions that were for being auctioned at the Kaleidescope Ball at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where more than $1.7 million was raised for the Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA.
“This was the first time I had ever done anything like this, and it was one of the top five hardest things I have ever done,” Stanley tells PEOPLE. “I had to have everything made, and things half the size of my finger are $200!”
And while she had plenty of jaw-dropping miniature originals (including an Eames aluminum group desk chair and Verner Panton dining chairs) the most amazing was a custom Retna painting. “I was like come here, please help me do this dollhouse and he came … I didn’t do anything for that room until I saw what he tagged on the wall.” (See close-up photos, below!)
The modern home was also decked out with custom pieces from Stanley’s interior design line, HomeMint, that she founded with Timberlake — just check out the “pillows, rugs and throws” in particular, Stanley says.
Other dollhouses were designed by major interior decorators and designers including Monique Lhuillier, and all unsold houses will be available for purchase on OneKingsLane.com.
