Another day, another wardrobe malfunction for Britney Spears.
The former 'X Factor' judge was watching her sons play soccer on Sunday in Los Angeles, when her very short sundress was blown up by a gust of wind. And because the singer wasn't wearing full underwear, her bare butt was exposed for all to see (even as she tried (unsuccessfully) to cover up).
Marlo Thomas became the first young, single woman in television in 1966. At the same time, I became one of the first young single women writing for television and "That Girl." My debut was not the news that Marlo's was, but someone at her network, ABC, took notice, since I was asked to appear with Marlo on a new series called "The Dating Game." Years later, it was revived in a much sexier version, but there was no sex on television in 1966.
There's a lot of talk right now about Sheryl Sandberg's book, "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead," and the movement that is growing up around it. Sandberg's idea -- that women should step forward and prove that they can juggle work and family and be successful -- is aiming to empower women.
