It's already halfway through Fashion Week and the collections have been rife with the fluffy stuff. This weekend, Altuzarra showed a collection that was as va-va-voom as a Helmut Newton pinup and reminiscent of the cleavage-baring suits worn by nineties supermodels. But one look in particular has already become infamous on the Instagram circuit. You've seen the blurry filters of it; now go ahead and click and zoom on each fox hair.
At Derek Lam, it was back to basics with a focus on geometric shapes and prints along with long hemlines that underscored the conservative air. But one very simple separate caught our eye: a white silk caped blouse cut on the bias with barely there curved seams, all done so that it drapes and falls on the shoulders in an eerily perfect way.
At Victoria Beckham, the focus was on luxurious materials, and hits of Yves Klein Blue here and there. A boxy, drop-waisted tuxedo-inspired overcoat was particularly appealing, but we couldn't quite tell if it was velvet or calf hair. On closer zoom inspection, we're glad to report it is the latter.
Thakoon showed a collection of silk prints, sheer panels, and belted furs, but the double-take takeaway was really these metallic gold and silver shoes.
