Normally, at this point during Fashion Week you'd be eagerly awaiting Marc Jacobs's show to fight off the mid-week fatigue. But since it's postponed, why not spend some time checking out the most noteworthy zoom shots from the last 24 hours? Today at 3.1 Phillip Lim's collection, editors raved over the standout coats, like the pink quilted neoprene number that opened the show. Over at Theyskens' Theory, a beaded and embroidered silk coat resembled snakeskin from afar — a nod to the Year of the Water Snake perhaps? And should you doubt that fur is a thing this season, Carolina Herrera did the unthinkable by adding it to the sleeves of a silk blouse.
Yesterday Delpozo, a Spanish design house virtually unknown in the States, used haute couture techniques on their ready-to-wear. A standout: The closing dress, constructed from layers of lace and delicate gold-leaf appliqués. And finally, at Tommy Hilfiger's collegiate collection, leather continued to trend in the form of a cable-knit embossed sweater thrown casually over a diaphanous silk blouse. Click ahead to see all these and more, plus all of the NYFW zooms you may have missed.
