DrunkMall has been doing a land-office business in "Thug Life" sweatpants, Pikachu hoodies, and assorted other wonderfully regrettable purchases, but founder Tyler Coe understands that his target demographic might not want to spend America's biggest shopping holiday glued to their laptops. "I just don’t think people hanging out with their friends at parties or at a bar are going to want to spend very much time browsing a website together," he told the Cut. However, since we're all checking our phones in those well-lubricated social settings, Coe decided to debut DrunkPhone, where users can text any number between 1 and 10 to 347-WASTED-4 to buy an item. (Immediately before, we assume, dialing 867-5309 just for the hell of it.)
Says Coe, "It’s like a Jell-O shot version of the site." The site begins its countdown to what it calls Blackout Friday today — and presumably, operators will be standing by, so start those poor-decision-making engines.
