If homeopaths are to be believed, drinking a glass of milk before bed can help you sleep. Now, new research suggests that milk collected from cows at nighttime could be even more helpful as it contains higher amounts of melatonin (a hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle) and tryptophan. Enter night milk.
For a study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food, South Korean researchers found that mice given night milk were more chill and slept longer than rodents fed "day milk" or water. It hasn't been tested in humans but night-milk powders and crystals are available in Germany and South Korea.
