As a market editor, I have received 132 emails offering me flower crowns for Coachella. For me, that is 132 too many flower crowns.
I'm excited about the festival, but I don't want to wear suede ankle boots, fringed caftans, insanely tiny cutoff shorts, or over-the-top headpieces. None of these things are my style! And I know I'm not the only attendee who doesn't want to look like she bought all her clothes in the hippie section of a costume shop.
So for the benefit of my non-boho sisters, I will be chronicling all my Coachella outfits in this space, as well as on the Cut's Snapchat and Instagram. Check back here every day for an update.
DAY 1
Since I've never been to Coachella, I thought it would be nice to ease into the festival mind-set with something breezy and non-fussy. I decided on this dress by designer March11 because I like the tassels and dramatic, embroidered balloon sleeves. The silhouette has an easy flow, and it's perfect for desert weather. Sure, it's a little crunchy, but it still feels like me. I paired it with my Alexander Wang sandals because they're my favorite thing on the face of the Earth.
