It's an immense relief that the Violence Against Women Act reauthorization bill passed and all, but this parody of Taylor Swift's "22" — reinterpreted to refer to the 22 male, Republican senators who voted against protecting the victims of domestic abuse — almost makes the legislative holdup worth it. If only for the brief fantasy of a world in which female songwriters shamed bad politicians alongside bad ex-boyfriends. And named names.
Well done, Jamie Kolnick, Molly Gaebe, and the Ms. Foundation!
