When Karl Lagerfeld announced that he'd be staging a Chanel fashion show in Dallas, more than a few eyebrows raised. How would the storied French fashion house mix with the utterly American southern culture?
Well, the day of the show is finally here, so we now know the answer to that burning question... and it's kind of hilarious. As fashion editors and models from New York, Paris and London infiltrated Dallas, they made sure to take plenty of photos documenting their interpretations of the style culture down south.
Here's what happens when the fashion crowd tries to communicate what Texas is about:
There were the obvious southern pop culture references, which included the television show "Dallas" ...

Then, of course, they offered some fashion tips. When in Texas, you should wear denim ...

... and cowboy hats (natch).
