If you liked Sally Field’s glamorous red Valentino at Sunday night’s Oscars, then you’ll love the crimson Valentino Hilary Swank wore to the Vanity Fair after-party. Wait a minute. (Cue cartoon-ish double-take.) Are the two A-list Oscar winners wearing the same gown on the same night?
As it turns out, not exactly. Field’s Valentino gown features ruffles along the skirt where Swank’s is made of sheer lace, and their long-sleeved bodices had slightly different ruching.
But we’re still pretty surprised that a major fashion house like Valentino would lend two such similar dresses to two such big-name stars to be worn within hours of one another.
Not to mention it was the third full-skirted gown by the designer in that trademark “Valentino red” seen that night — the other one being, of course, Jennifer Aniston‘s “easy to pee in” stunner.
All three ladies looked lovely, but we’re more than a little perplexed. Tell us: Did you think Field and Swank were wearing the same dress? Which one is your favorite?
