Whether you're lucky enough to have Hawaii within your range of a weekend jaunt or, like us, you'll be daydreaming that your local beach is somewhere due west, your fashion approach can stay the same. To get a true take on what's stylishly spot-on in Hawaii, we chatted with Kelia Moniz, an island native and a member of Roxy's surf team. Her closet is reliably stocked with light cover-ups, cut-offs, strappy sandals, and bikinis, all easy-to-pack items that will guarantee comfort as well as fitting in with the area's aesthetic.
"You'll see lots of what we call slippers, but mainlanders call flip-flops," Moniz told us. "Girls are always on the casual side, in shorts, tank tops or t-shirts, and light dresses. Guys typically wear shorts and t-shirts. If you're lucky, you see them shirtless!"
