The Dove "Real Beauty Sketches" ad has received a lot of attention lately and inspired at least one parody, but the video above is one of our favorite responses.
Our friends at beauty site xoVain described themselves to sketch artist Eric Winkler, and their descriptions entailed virtually none of the self-criticism seen in the original Dove ad. Instead, they talked about their favorite features and what makes them unique. And you know what? The final sketches look a lot like them.
"I don't know about you, but I would've been far more likely to share the now hugely viral Dove video if the women had described themselves more like that," writes XOVain editor Marci Robin. Do you agree?
