Jason Bateman, Alexander Skarsgård, Paula Patton... and Marc Jacobs?
It's not your typical IMDB lineup, but Marc Jacobs is in the cast of a new major movie. Called "Disconnect," it's the movie we were all talking about in 2011 when it was discovered that Jacobs would be playing a "porn baron" in his on-screen debut.
Now with "Disconnect" hitting theaters in April, the trailer is finally out and we can see what this "porn baron" thing was all about. From what we gather, it's not a huge role -- Jacobs appears in the very end of the tense 2-minute trailer, barking "Give me your phone, Kyle!" We barely glimpse his face.
But Jacobs does get the final, ominous words of the clip: "Trust me, no one else." The whole thing is dark, brooding and dangerous -- in other words, a far cry from Jacobs' glossy fashion world. Instead, as Refinery 29 notes, Jacobs is a "'pimp' for wayward, underage teens who are sucked into the seedy world of web-chat prostitution."
Which sounds totally unappealing... and yet we're obviously still seeing this movie. Who could skip out on Marc's big screen debut?
