Here at LittleThings, we've discovered plenty of alternative uses for everyday foods and substances. Sure, they may be used to remedy other problems, but why not try using them for creative beauty hacks?
Take the familiar store brand medication Pepto-Bismol, for example.
First made available to consumers over 100 years ago, it was intended to cure ailments like diarrhea, heartburn, and indigestion.
But just like how beer can be used to banish tired, depleted skin, this medication can do wonders for problem areas on the skin.
In an exclusive video below, our friend and YouTube user EllkoNYC shows you how you can make a multipurpose face mask using Pepto-Bismol.
Aside from solving tummy ache issues, Pepto-Bismol also has anti-inflammatory properties. It contains amounts of both salicylic acid and aspirin, which can calm down any irritations you may have on the skin.
Instead of running to the drugstore and buying new skin care products, you can also use it as an acne spot treatment to target problem areas.
