Hologram clothes ruled the spring runways and, thankfully, it's in style for summer.
Although this futuristic trend was huge in the '90s (who among us didn't have those novelty sunglasses?), it's back and more refined than ever. The iridescent trend follows the same basic principle, but this time it's less about kitsch (ahem, Lisa Frank) and more about adding a little drama to an ensemble (think Stella McCartney wedges and Jonathan Saunders skirts).
But if you're going to wear hologram pieces, there are a few important things to keep in mind: First, you want to keep the rest of your look simple (the shiny material is attention-grabbing enough as it is) and you never want to wear more than one holographic item at a time (no one wants to look like a disco ball).
