We all know Tabatha Coffey, Bravo’s sharp-tongued Aussie style pro, from her newest show, Tabatha Takes Over, which is in its fifth season! And now, she’s bringing her talents online, joining us at PEOPLE StyleWatch each week to dish on some of the best – and worst – celebrity looks of the week. Keep in mind the opinions below belong solely to the stylist … though she’s probably saying what lots of you are thinking, anyway!
Today, she discusses Katy Perry, whose outfit didn’t have whipped cream boobs or a Smurf’s face, but still managed to surprise us.
Seriously Katy, what in the hell are you wearing? From the print of the dress to the crazy collar and air conditioned sleeves, this frock is a hot silk mess.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to be a bully, I’m just saying what everyone else is thinking. Let me put it this way: You have this killer, dynamic body that should be celebrated with clothing that accentuates your figure. This “thing” you have on is just making you look like a colorful bat-winged box in boots.
My recommendation: You should check out what the chick behind you is wearing. Actually, follow her into the washroom and convince her to swap outfits. Pay her off if you have to. It would be worth every penny.
But don’t get rid of your boots. Those ripped jeans and that vintage Janet Jackson shirt would look brilliant with your rock star leather Jimmy Choo boots, jet black hair and cool girl black sunglasses.
