The couture shows provide their own surreal pleasure — whether in the form of runway presentations or the mental gymnastics required to reconcile the costs of 750 hours of beading — but they also give a welcome platform for all the street stylers to break out their warm-weather weirdness. Sure, there was plenty of the usual suspects on the usual suspects, but there were some oddball surprises like Vera Wang in an enormous belt we've been trying to identify all morning.
Lindsey Wixson wore her leopard hair straight from the Gaultier runway to the streets, a brave woman wore the Celine fur-kenstocks and another the toe-painted heels from the same collection. And perhaps most strangely of all, model Caroline Brasch Nielsen managed to tweak the proportions on chinos, sneakers, and a denim shirt for one of the freshest looks of the week. Click through the slideshow ahead to see all of that plus Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Kate Lanphear, and more.
