There was plenty of fashion and beauty inspiration at the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards in L.A. this weekend — like Cate Blanchett’s velvet trousers and everything about this Carey Mulligan look. But one group at the event hit all the style high marks — the over 60 crowd.

Helen Mirren, 70, was feeling herself (check out this twirl) at the event, selecting a white Dolce & Gabbana gown with lace bodice and a pleated chiffon skirt. She topped the look with gold accessories and a black clutch.
Jane Fonda, 77, proved her wardrobe never disappoints in a metallic blazer, and sheer turtleneck top (which showed a peek of her black bra!), plus, black trousers.

Rounding out the fabulous over-60 trio, Meryl Streep, 66, who selected a metallic speckled structured gown with rhinestone star appliqués at the waist to present an award to Debbie Reynolds granddaughter, Billie Lourd, on the star’s behalf. Reynolds, 83, was unable to attend the event, but her family was there to celebrate her win.
