Olympian Simone Biles made history as the youngest person to ever receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom at age 25. The ceremony, which honored 17 individuals, took place at the White House on July 7, and fiancé Jonathan Owens was there to cheer her on. The couple, fresh off their tropical vacation, coordinated looks for the event, with Biles in a tweed double-breasted tuxedo minidress woven with metallic thread and finished with a satin lapel and pocket flap.
The gymnast, who was recognized as an advocate for mental health and victims of sexual assault, completed her outfit with simple black heeled sandals, a delicate gold nose ring, and a choker necklace. Her gleaming oval-shaped diamond engagement ring was on full display, emphasized with an ombré manicure in shades of pink.
Owens, meanwhile, sported a powder blue suit over a white button-down to coordinate with his Alexander McQueen platform sneakers. "You motivate me more every day to be the best version of myself," he captioned a post dedicated to Biles on his feed.
Biles and Owens have been showing off a range of stylish looks while preparing for their upcoming wedding - both off-duty and at events - so we can only imagine what impressive wardrobe statements their nuptials will bring. (We do already know Biles will be wearing not one but multiple gowns by Galia Lahav for the big day.)
Ahead, see Biles accept her honor from President Joe Biden, admire the duo posing for photos, and shop-inspired blazer dresses that boast similar details.
