Taylor Swift returned to the stage on Saturday for her first live performance since wrapping up her 1989 world tour nearly a year ago and since ending her high-profile relationships with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston.
Taking the stage at the Super Stage area in Del Valle, Texas, Swift appeared to put the drama behind her. She took fans through a catalog of her songs, including “We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together” and “Fifteen” â two numbers she had teased on Instagram leading up to the show.

Swift also performed “This Is What You Came For,” the song she co-wrote with ex Harris (under a pseudonym) but was originally sung by Rihanna. It marked the firs time she had performed the song live after it was revealed that she was a co-writer.

The concert came after Saturday’s race at the Formula One United States Grand Prix. It’s the only U.S. venue for the Formula One World Championship, which is made up of a series of 21 events around the world where drivers compete on specialized courses at speeds exceeding 200 mph.
In addition to Swift, Usher and The Roots will perform a full concert after the USGP on Sunday.
Circuit of the Americas chairman Bobby Epstein said Saturday’s show will be Swift’s only live performance in 2016, and that he expected 100,000 people to attend.
Rumors have been rumbling for weeks that the Grammy winner is going to be dropping her sixth studio album this month â known among her fan groups as #TS6.

Â
It was also the first time the 26-year-old singer performed live since Kim Kardashian West put her on blast on Snapchat in July, showing video recordings of a phone call where Swift can be heard allegedly approving Kanye Westâs “Famous” lyrics â lyrics Swift previously claimed she wasn’t made aware of.
She told fans in an Instagram post at the time that she would “very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
The “Shake It Off” singerâs record-shattering album 1989 was released two years ago in late October, and the Grammy winner has dropped new music every two years since she released her self-titled debut album 10 years ago.
Die-hard Swifties, though, have zeroed in on a specific date: Oct. 23, 2016. The dateâs numbers (10/23/16) add up to 13, which has long been the starâs lucky number.Â
However, before her fans get too excited, Swift has given fair warning she might be taking longer than usual for her next album. “This is the first time in 10 years that I havenât known ,” she told Vogue earlier this year. “I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something.”
