Serena and Venus Williams Wear Plunging Necklines in 2 Very Different Ways

Serena and Venus Williams showed up at the 2022 Oscars to support the cast of "King Richard" wearing Gucci and Elie Saab, respectively. The tennis champions, who were portrayed in the Academy Award-nominated film by Demi Singleton and Saniyya Sidney, had the honor of opening the show by introducing Beyoncé's performance of "Be Alive," and they wore stunning looks for the occasion.

Serena, who works with stylist Jason Bolden, chose a rose-colored Gucci gown with pleating with a sheer, slitted skirt and plunging neckline decorated with black sequin florals and a flash of lace. Her look was complete with towering leather platform sandals and lace hand gloves to complement the detailing on the bodice of her dress. She wore two chunky diamond rings and stud earrings, showing off every angle of her look with both husband Alexis Ohanian and sister Venus by her side.

Venus, a client of Law Roach, wore a white column gown with a sculptural, plunging neckline finished with a silver trim that reflected the shape of her Tiffany & Co. metal statement earrings and oversize cuffs. She finished her look with Stuart Weitzman shoes. "This Girl……," Roach captioned a behind-the-scenes video of her posing in her dress before the show.

While the Williams sisters coordinated in Versace for the Critics' Choice Awards, they went on to dress independently at the Producers Guild Awards this season, where Serena chose a CD Greene minidress and Venus opted for a column gown from Atelier Versace. At the Oscars, they both went for plunging necklines but pulled off the trend in their own unique ways.
