Selena Gomez made her "Saturday Night Live" hosting debut on May 14, and she effortlessly translated her chic everyday style to the "SNL" stage. From a backless Mach & Mach crystal cutout minidress during her opening monologue to an oversize sweater during her "Old Enough" spoof about longterm boyfriends, Gomez's wardrobe made an effortlessly stylish statement. The "Only Murders in the Building" star continued to turn heads at the "SNL" afterparty when she arrived in a black strapless dress with a twist.
The LBD featured a low-cut, straight neckline and an asymmetrical, knee-length hem that wrapped around Gomez's waist to form a sky-high slit. The thigh-high partition allowed for a glimpse of the singer's praying-hands tattoo - one of 16 in her collection, including a matching rose tattoo with Cara Delevingne - which features a dangling rosary along her left leg. Gomez kept her neck and ears bare, accessorizing only with translucent heeled sandals encrusted with iridescent rhinestones. Keeping the outfit polished, she completed her look with thick mascara, nude lipstick, and a set of loose waves grazing the back of her neck.
During her opening monologue, Gomez joked about being single and preparing for season two of "Only Murders in the Building," which puts her character, Mabel, at the center of a gruesome murder mystery. Gomez's onscreen style is luxe, but her postshow outfits are also worth a second glance, plus a spot on our Pinterest boards.
