Terry Richardson for Harper’s BAZAAR
If her sexy Spring Breakers tour style didn’t already have you convinced, Selena Gomez is all grown up — and her gorgeous photos (and funny interview) in April’s issue of Harper’s BAZAAR (as well as her “The Look” video with editor Laura Brown, below) prove it. She dishes on her style, her secret to silky locks and even the single life in two revealing interviews.
“I’m getting older, though I don’t look it at all,” the superstar says in her cover story, which hits stands March 19. But that doesn’t mean she’s ready to dress older quite yet. “I do not give a damn what I look like, I really don’t,” she says.
Wearing one of her six flannel shirts (she counted, she reveals in the video), she says, “I look like this all the time. When I actually look presentable, it’s for an awards show.”
And even though she’s been looking flawless at events lately (in the video, she credits longtime stylist Basia Richard), she jokes, “Of course, when I’m on red carpets, I’m nervous, sweaty and weird.”
Gomez is much more sanguine when it comes to her just-ended relationship with Justin Bieber. “To make it as normal as possible — in such an abnormal lifestyle—was super important to both of us,” she says. (But if he’s hoping to win her back, he better improve his style; in her “The Look” video, Gomez reveals she loves a man in a cardigan or a button-down).
